Program Information:
Alabama’s program for health information technology is called One Health Record. It’s scope is to expand the use of health information technology (HIT) and has the potential to improve health and health care. This can be done by improving the quality, and increasing the efficiency of care while reducing unnecessary health care costs. Other benefits include: preventing medical errors, increasing administrative efficiencies, and improving population health and patient engagement.
