Program Information:
The incentive payments to eligible Medicaid providers in Hawaii will be administered by the Department of Human Services, Med-QUEST Division (DHS-MQD). CMS, which is establishing the EHR Incentive program through the formal rule making process, released the final rule on July 13, 2010. This rule provides many of the parameters and requirements of the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs. The DHS-MQD is current reviewing the provisions of the final rule and is in the early stages of planning the Med-QUEST Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive. Providers will be informed through provider bulletins and the state’s web site as DHS-MQD determines the specific details of the Med-QUEST EHR Incentive Program. Providers are encouraged to visit the official CMS website for the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs at all times.
