Program Information:
The CMS Medicare and Medicaid Provider EHR Incentive Program is voluntarily offered by the state of Illinois, and can begin in 2011 once the state has a CMS approved infrastructure in place to manage the program. The program will continue until 2021. The last year a Medicaid provider may begin participation in the program is 2016. HFS is currently planning for the state administration of the program and expects to begin making incentive payments to qualifying providers in the summer of 2011.
