Program Information:
The government program provides incentive payments to Eligible Professionals and Eligible Hospitals within the state of Louisiana who have adopted and implemented certified EHR technology and can prove meaningful use of these systems. The purpose of the program is to improve outcomes, facilitate access, simplify care, and reduce costs of health care nationwide. This can be done by simply enhancing care coordination and patient safety and therefore facilitating information sharing across providers, payers, and state lines. EHR Incentive payments will be made to approved practices based on the information contained in the payment attestation. If this information matches your pay name field and account number on the Louisiana Medicaid Provider Enrollment File, payment will be made immediately. If the information does not match, you will be issued a paper check based on the payee information in the payment attestation.
