Implementing a state health information infrastructure, which, is consistent with emerging national standards and focuses over interoperability of health information systems is promoted by the advisory committee for Health in North Dakota. This is done by improving health care quality, patient safety, and overall efficiency of health care and public health services. The main goal for North Dakota is to advance the adoption and use of technology to exchange health information and improve healthcare quality, patient safety and overall efficiency of healthcare and public health services within the state.
