Program Information:
The VITL REC is funded by the federal Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) to support Vermont physicians and Critical Access Hospitals as they decide how to implement or upgrade an EHR to meet meaningful use provider incentive payments. CMS released its long anticipated Final Rule on Meaningful Use and the Medicare and Medicaid Provider Incentive Program on July 13, 2010. Consequently, the Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA), Division of Health Care Reform will be administering Medicaid payments to Eligible Providers and Eligible Hospitals starting in 2011.
