Data Use Agreement (DUA):

HIPAA Regulation states that a health care entity may use or disclose a “limited data set” if that entity obtains a data use agreement from the recipient of the data. Released data can be used only for research, public health or health care operations. DUAs must specify who is permitted to use or receive the limited data set and must require that appropriates security safeguards be used.
