Definition Thursday: Continuity of Care Record (CCR)
Continuity of Care Record (CCR):
The continuity of care record is a standardized electronic snapshot of a patient’s medical, insurance, and demographic information at any given point in time. While not all of the patient’s information is in the CCR, critical information is available that may be useful in referrals and emergencies, such as Hurricane Sandy and the earthquake in Japan.
Do you still need to find an electronic medical record (EMR) software for your practice? The quality and work flow of your practice depend on your making the right selection, as does your ability to collect payments from the U.S. government. To find the right software and avoid penalties, start your EMR search with MRCbase.
