NAMIWalk raises money to fight mental illness in Helena
More than 1,500 people visited Memorial Park in Helena on Sunday for the NAMIWalk, an event hosted by the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Montana.
The 2017 Montana NAMIWalk’s goal was to stop the stigma and issues surrounding mental illness.
The walk began at Memorial Park and moved through Centennial Park and around Carroll College.
Matt Kuntz, the executive director for NAMI Montana, reported over $100,000 was donated on Sunday and from online contributions.
