Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D) is supplemental insurance you add to your current health insurance or life insurance policy to provide additional payments if you die accidentally or have lost the use certain body parts or functions.
AD&D insurance policies provide specific payment schedules for different circumstances. If you purchase AD&D insurance, you only pay for continued coverage and your policy will have to be renewed annually. Premiums change annually, as well.
