Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes widespread pain in the muscles and soft tissues. People who have it feel pain, tenderness, or both even when there is no injury or inflammation. Depression, stress, and sleep problems are common in people who have fibromyalgia. These problems may make fibromyalgia symptoms worse.
