A shame this place its called a Hospital , a place where patient care is far from a priority, please take your loved one to the main land for better care.

j2times2006 .

My grandmother had to be hospitalised there with acute chest pains and extremely high blood pressure. spoke to two nurses who said they didn't know anything about her condition because they just started their shifts. (4 hours prior my grandmother saw both of them working when she got admitted). nurses said that we needed to speak to the doctor to get the full info on her condition. they said he was a little busy but that he would see us within an hour. we sat in the waiting area staring at the semi dirty floors waiting for the doctor. about an hour later the janitor who eventually started moping that dirty floor explained to us that he had overhead what the doctor was saying concerning my grandmothers condition and gave us HIS diagnosis. yeah you read that right the janitors diagnosis. Over 11 HOURS LATER the doctor finally showed up and gave us less info than the janitor did. in the end it turned out that the guy who mops the floor at night knew more than the "doctor" with the degree on his wall did. your better of buying some bandaids and praying to god than getting any kind of decent medical care here......oh and by the way this all happened in 1992.

The nurses in the emergency room on the night of June 27 third shift are for the most part very insensitive. Too bussy playing around with male co workers and probably a Dr.(this male had a belly he look pregnant). This nurse mostly sat on the left side, blond white female. She seen to be an instigator mocking gestures behind another nurse. They seen and act with an arrogant attitude and speak to patients with very little respect and concern. On the other hand, all the nurses in the stroke sectionc 5th floor we all very king. I even got a hug from one of them. The male nurse (short, with bear, black hair)was awesome. There was another male with glasses also very kind. This nurses on the 5th floor need to be recognize for their efforts, kindness and will to help others. As I stood their while waiting on the ambulance some one got really sick and their TEAM work was marvelous. Dr Velaquez give him my appreciation. I may also mention the worker on MRI department for that night was Sour Lemon. I know Puerto Rico is in great need of help, but hospitals have no excuse to request supplies for the patients. You all should be well stock on this necessities and obviously charge them to the insurance. It is inconceivable for this request. What happens with a poor patient that has no means to buy such supply. I wish all good vibe and hopefully I will never have to do this again with another member of my family. For me this is very sad since I come from the MECA of the best hospital in the world Texas.Thank you

Horrible is the only word I can use to describe this place. Doctors lack compassion and care, what's a doctor without those? Not a doctor. Between HIMA Bayamón and HIMA Caguas they took over 7hrs to address a stroke my father had minimising chances of better recovery. And to make it worst when my father left the ICU, he felt in the hands of a Dr who couldn't care less. Dr. Reynoso took "care" of my dad and sealed his fate for the worse. To say something good, the nurses in the 4th floor respiratory care unit are the best. They are the only good experience we are taking with us. Keep up the good work nurses! Thank you for caring.
