The staff here actually care. It's really clean and we got the personal one on one attention not only for patient but family too! Everyone has been super sweet. Definitely recommend.

I went to the ER with heart palpitations. They wasted no time getting me in a room and started treating me. My heart rate was 213 and they got it down to 90 in no time. They were all very caring and professional. I was admitted overnight and I was treated very well. I am glad to have a facility this close to home that will do their best to help you and if they can't do everything there they will transfer you to where you need to go for the help you need. I appreciate all their care

On 1-13-19 We took our 3-year-old son there after a bad sledding accident. The older gentleman that was the doctor that evening was unprofessional showed completely zero care and compassionate..Said he did not need x-rays or anything ,nor stitches , they gave him Tylenol to ease some pain. One of the nurses said "he's just not cooperating"when they were trying to get the Tylenol down him.... (as if a three-year-old boy is supposed to cooperate when he is in extreme pain). My wife and I left after being there for ONLY 30 to 40 minutes and took him to children's hospital where he had multiple stitches to sew his tongue back together and had a CAT scan which showed multiple fractures in the face. The bill that Jerseyville came up with that night was a total of $1,714 !!!! ( for 30 minutes of care and a half of a dose of Tylenol). Im giving 1 star because a couple of the nurses in there that night were very nice and good , but the doors of this facility need to be permanently shut until there is professional and honest help replaced.

More concern was taken on acquiring my payment/insurance information etc than my health emergency. They were too busy worrying about setting me in front of the cubicle to take my insurance information when I first walked in although I told them my husband was parking the car and had all of my information. I only ended up in Jerseyville because of a road block to Carlinville hospital. I will never, ever come back to this emergency room under any circumstance. Lack of respect/compassion for the patients situation was definitely obvious. I liked the DR but it took forever for nurses to even hook me up to monitors when my blood pressure was showing 224/123 immediately prior to arrival and once I was finally hooked up to the monitors they continued the questions although my husband continued to tell them he would answer the questions. The young lady I first encountered in the room definitely needs to attend some classes on attitude. Its apparent they are more worried about the bottom line and not compassion or concerns for the patient.
