feedback about Logan Memorial Hospital
The ER is terribly run. I took my 8 yr old who had a broken wrist... 2 bones. We waited 4 and a half hours... and left. No one checked on him, brought him ice, or told us how long it would be. I checked with the front several times and apparently they don't communicate with the doctors/nurses because they could never tell me when he could POSSIBLY get back. They called other people back that were obviously not in pain or as urgent as he was. He cried and cried. A couple prayed with us because he was hurting so bad. We left the ER after a lady came in on her own with a child in no clear distress and was called back in less than 30 minutes. Prior to that there was a lady that came in after us who also had an accident and they gave her ice and called her back as my 8 yr old lay there crying. We drove to Greenview and went straight back and he received immediate attention. I will never go back to Logan Memorial ER... even with broken bones or bleeding heads on my grandchildren because they just don't care. Absolutely NO communication. I even told the triage nurse that I could leave and go somewhere else early on. She said he needed to be seen because clearly his wrist was broken. I should have left then... if only they would have indicated it could be hours I would have. And then I got a bill for $350.00 and they never saw him!!!
Went to the ER on April 5th. Doctor on call was great. He found my problem and I had surgery the next week. ER doctor and surgical staff took great care of me.
I will never go to the Logan Memorial ER again as I went there the doctor accused me of being there for narcotics and sent home came to Medical Center ER and BG had emergency surgery doing fine today... The doctors don't know what they're doing the staff is rude as hell
Very callous, unempathetic staff.
Staff does not closely cross-check patient history with pharmacopeia before introducing new meds to patient's system.
Convenience or emotional comfort of staff is seemingly valued over physical wellbeing of patients.
Patient observations are ignored.
Staff becomes belligerent and hostile when challenged or confronted with difficult patients.
Go to Bowling Green, Nashville, or Clarksville unless death is imminent .
Worst ER waiting time ...horrible was waiting for 3 1/2 hrs and still nothing .. wont recommend this hospital never ever waited more than an hr in a half for waiting in emergency room...
