Mixed experience here. I will say every time I go here it’s hard to find your way around outside and inside. ER visits where we received good care and a hospital visit that wasn’t good at all. But overall rather be here than the Oak Bend down the highway.

Ridiculously long wait time. Relatively empty waiting room for pediatric. Here for the second time in 3 days due to their negligence. Took them 3 hours to clean out my sons deep gash in turn we are back less than a full 48 hours due to infection.

I regret going here. Terrible communication between staff. I was told I had a of a new diagnosis/mass inappropriately- they mentioned in on the way to the MRI casually. They also pressured me into doing an unnecessary biopsy- right after an intense infection. There were so many things that were inappropriate. I applied for financial assistance and the two people I talked to were very rude and hung up on me. I didn't receive financial assistance because I didn't make enough- which doesn't make any sense to me.

Plenty of hospital options around. Do not go here. If the ambulance suggests this place, go elsewhere. My mother spent nearly three weeks here. They will not call you if something happens. Also, the replies with the email? Useless. Staffed by 20 year old interns.

Drive your child to TCH instead. One, they failed to diagnose my son properly so we couldn't resolve his asthma episode because they didn't prescribe anything to treat the infection that triggered it. Two, when I dropped the prescription off at my pharmacy, my pharmacy did not carry the medication in the strength prescribed, and they called MH pediatric ER multiple times and were told the prescribing doctor was not available so they couldn't help. So I called the ER the next day and asked "how do we get this resolved, my child needs the second dose of this medication today?" And I was informed, with smug fake politeness, that they are there 24/7 so obviously the pharmacy didn't call or didn't have the right number, and they could do nothing to help me, "it has to be done 'the right way'". Now, I fill prescriptions at my pharmacy pretty regularly with a family of 5, and they are ALWAYS helpful, polite (thank you CVS on Lexington) and quick to contact our providers and resolve any issues. I've only dealt with Memorial Hermann Sugar Land ER ONCE, and it will be the only time if I can help it, and I am having this issue. So I'm going to take a wild guess that CVS is the truthful party here. Bottom line, drive your child to one of the TCH hospitals if you are in a situation to be able to do so.
