feedback about Nevada Regional Medical Center
Wife has sat here for over an hour in a wheelchair unable to walk and they have called 2 persons back that were well capable of walking and was not life or death emergencies. I don't recommend anyone go here. You'll die before they see you.
We have had several phone contacts and a recent visit to the Nevada Regional Medical Center. If I could give more stars, I would. Every person and every department was excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient. The hospital was clean and attractive. My toddler grandson was treated with special care so that he would not be upset by tests. It is well worth the drive to go there.
I agree this hospital is terrible. It’s sad that it’s our only choice. I decided to go to the dermatologist to save my self a trip out of town like many others do out of convenience! I will make the trip from now on for any medical needs I have. Every time I would call I was immediately put on hold for at least 20+ minutes, my appointment was changed 3x due to their fault I was 6moths trying to get in. Later I was told I could have been sent to the dr. Primary office. Now I have been over billed & every time I call the insurance department I just get passed around. I will not go back to this Nevada regional for services and don’t recommend it!!!!
my sister was hurt back a few years ago and seen there doc looked at wrist and said it aint broke damn hes good and then she was sent bills for x-rays that where never done keep an eye on your bills and get it itemized if you have too, so my sister said when u produce that xray ill pay for it
Our son was seen in ER weeks ago for a work injury. The doctor who saw him, told him to go back to work. Well, thank God his safety manager said no and took him elsewhere. Long story short the doctor that saw him next identified the issue immediately. My son had surgery to repair the damage He is on the mend No thanks to NRMC's ER.
My husband is taken to the ER. He has back and neck issues on top of other issues. He has cronic pain. He falls often and fell about a week ago. The pain became very bad over New Year's. He has an appointment to see his family doctor and his pain management doctor both in a few days, and was trying to push through, but he began getting muscle spasms that we're just more than he could tolerate. He also started experiencing numbness in his toes in his left foot. So off to the ER. The bed was too high for him to get up on so I asked if he could just sit in the chair. The nurse said " No, I need to take his blood pressure." Well that machine has wheels and moves easily. The chair moves too. The doctor at NRMC walked to his bed like she was being bothered. She made us feel we we're a bother She asked my husband what he had taken for the pain and he told her. her list includes 2 Advil every 6 hours. When he said that she replied, with a whole lot of attitude, "my 8 year old child takes that dose" . Well that's what the bottle says to take and he already takes enough pills to choke a horse! She was so rude that at one point I said " can we get another doctor?" I was all for leavin. She was supposed to be helping my husband not making him feel worse. My husband stayed. When she left the room my husband said "I just hurt too bad to get back in and out of the car. You know how freaked out I get riding in the car, especially in the dark." So he was in so much pain he took what she dished out. How sad is that. Then she was asked to give him the muscle relaxer before the ex-ray so he'd be in a bit less pain. She said yes but that isn't what happened. On the way out the door they told him he could take tylenol with his meds but not Advil even though he takes medication with Tylenol in it and can't take that.
I can't believe this ER.
