this is by and far the worst place in the oakdale/ modesto to go for any reason, let alone an emergency. a few years back, I had a tooth infection that was quickly becoming life threatening and was well into 2 weeks of it and upon arrival, was told i looked like i was on drugs and need to take a urine sample before they could treat me. to which i replied no, absolutely not. there was no need for that, i was not on drugs, nor was i there for any. i needed antibiotics, plain and simple, otherwise i was going to die. we stared at one another for 20-30 minutes until i began slipping into unconsciousness. finally they moved to me a bed and administered antibiotics. soon as the needle went into my vein, i was out. don't know how long i was out, but when i woke up i was very very upset to the point of tears for being treated with such disrespect.
DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL EVER IF YOU CAN AVOID IT .
that was merely my first experience here, at this horrible place. during this last month i have had bad allergies and was taking several different over the counter meds for them. i was also vaping heavily, i am a long time smoker, been smoking since i was 16 and i am now 36, but am new to vape. i didn't even think that vaping and allergy medicine might not be the best combo until it was too late. i have been hurting bad for the last few weeks. last night i went to the emergency room and again, got similar treatment. they were insistent that they could only proceed after giving a urine sample. which, this time, i said i would give but couldn't produce right away. meanwhile, they listened to my heart to which they said sounded very good. clear of any fluids. they then gave me an X-ray of my lungs to which they had nothing but glorious things to say. ????? i have been smoking for decades and i can feel all the vape juice in my lungs, every bit of it and i can taste it as it comes up. my legs were swollen bad from the ankles all the way up. they didn't even look, they didn't even care to look, nor listen to anything else i was telling them. this place is filled with incompetence and ignorance. and the others are correct, they sit at the nurses station and they gossip, often about those in the rooms in front of them. they thought i couldn't hear them, i heard them. i hear lots of things. these people have no business being nurses whatsoever and should all be fired. they should be sued for malpractice based on my X-rays alone, which they said where clear and clean. imagine that, a smoker of 2 decades having clean and clear lungs. one that can barely walk to the other side of his house because of the unfortunate vaping experience..
this is a whole new level of wow.. if i could give negative stars, you bet you boots they would have 5 negative stars.. i will never be coming back to this hospital again. i would rather die..
