Pecos County Memorial Hospital

My husband and I are only visitors to this town. However, while here my husband did go to the ER last yr., and we currently go to the gym here. Every person we have encountered (so far), have been very courteous, smiling, and helpful. Inside and outside is very clean. The gym is clean, neat, and affordable. Oh, and all of the equipment works! Somewhat small, but the friendliness and cleanliness and affordability are priceless! If only I could say the same about the local restaurants and department stores here....

What a joke of a hospital!! My sister came here several times during her pregnancy and after and they did absolutely NOTHING to help her! She had to drive all the way to Midland just get the help she needed! Turns out she has all this stuff wrong with her and several blood clots in her legs! I don’t understand why y’all couldn’t do your jobs as nurses and doctors to help her out! This place needs to be shut down or everyone replaced or retrained! Not sure how any of y’all are even remotely qualified! And you only get one star because I can’t put anything less than that!

Terrible experience in Emergency Room! Got taken by ambulance after being involved in a car accident. Emergency room staff was very rude. They acted like they were extremely busy when I was one of the only patients in there. They made my wife wait almost two hours before they let her back to see me. Asked numerous times to get some Advil or Ibuprofen for the pain and was denied until they could verify my insurance.... Would not recommend this Hospital ER for anything!

I was rushed up from Terlingua with a heart problem. I barely gave my name to the receptionist in the emergency lobby before someone took me back to a room. Within minutes I was surrounded by an A team of guys who were admirably efficient, knowledgeable and professional. I cannot believe we have a facility this good, this close to Big Bend. Their doctors and techs and nurses were all compassionate, and efficient. They did what they said they would, when they said they would . The room was clean and quiet and everything worked. Dr Cecil George runs the place like a benevolent medical grandpa, and you couldn't have a better medical ally. I felt safe and confident knowing I was in a real hospital, that cared about human beings, not a "business." I love this place.

I visited the emergency care of this facility as a result of a knee injury while on vacation. Staff was attentive, kind, efficient and helpful. They stabilized the injury, promptly provided a diagnosis and sent me on my way. Thanks so much for your help.
