feedback about Physicians'specialty Hospital
My spouse underwent gastric bypass surgery recently. Although my insurance covered the ENTIRE cost of the surgery, as soon as she was in surgery, they were pushing me to set up a payment plan. Thankfully, the other employees got the situation straightened out. They did a fine job as far as care goes, just don't like being ambushed about paying when it's already paid for.
I waitied over an our in an empty waiting room due to a 'lack of beds' then 2 male patients walked in and were seen right away. I was brushed off as 'not an emergency' because I was not visibly bleeding. I was finally seen when I broke down in tears due to the pain. Then I wasn't touched except to draw my blood, I'm not contagious, and sent home after that and a urine test. I am going to have to go somewhere else for an ultrasound/scans because I was brushed off. I have almost died from a PE I detected myself and took myself to the hospital for. I know when something is wrong.
Great hospital with top notch surgeons and staff. Would absolutely recommend anyone to visit this facility!!! Great job.
Great place to have knee replacement.would go back.
My 2nd surgery with Dr. Arnold, who I give the highest rating and complete respect for being a top notch surgeon. I was also very pleased with their anesthesiologist, Dr. Murphy. Something changed at PSH in the last 5 years though, they were not as professional this time as in the past. Nurses were not as clean and tidy as one would expect. I felt very rushed at this last surgery, beginning to end like it is now a cattle salebarn, so much so that they were in such a hurry to get me out and reuse my bed that I was loaded into my car from the wheelchair in the pouring rain. They couldn't wait just a minute for the person under the drive-through to leave so my family could pull up and we could all be out of the weather and stay dry for the drive home. A little thing, but rushing around can lead to unwanted mistakes on top of patients feeling like just a number and bill. It was not this way 4 years ago.
