Awesome if you have a cold or something minor. My grandmother had a heart attack and they didn't catch it. Took her to Olathe Med where they discovered she had a heart attack. Have definitely improved over the last few years. Wait time was short, staff was friendly. But still needs to work on continuous improvement.

RMH. I know you working on it. You still have a ways to go. If you were the first hospital that ever existed and had to learn all this brand new I would be more understanding.
However, you can send someone to observe how the ER works in other top rated hospitals nearby and make the necessary changes. I have literally left RMH driven to Lawrence memorial got pain taken care of and came back to Ottawa went to the ER to just see how fast things were going and people who were ahead of me were still waiting. ???
Drive to Lawrence, sign in, triage, room, nurse, doctor, discharge, drive home to Ottawa and people still in ER waiting. This was like a week before the new ER opened. I sure hope the more staff and larger space has increased speed.

Btw... When someone is in pain try what LMH does. Someone tells the doctor while you're being triaged so the doctor can visit you right away to make sure it's ok to give pain medication and then will come back for the regular visit.
I waited in horrific pain in the ER at RMH while the nurse couldn't get the IV hose untangled and 45 min later when the doctor finally showed up my episode was starting to calm down and they gave me two antacids for the esophogeal spasm that I told them I was having when I first arrived and received no pain medicine or antacids right away. The lady who comes and gets insurance information in your room always has come when I've been in extreme pain. I seen it in the other room as well. That should be the very last thing before discharge. This is not rocket science. Hire someone like me to get this all fixed.
Don't try to reinvent the wheel go do what it successful hospitals are doing. Don't go and get any bright ideas because they're never bright. Your advertising and exaggeration of care is ridiculous. Just like when some Podunk town across their town as a "playful" city thinking they can fool people into moving to it. Geesh!

I established care today at the Wellsville Clinic. I saw Jackie Bauer. The staff was all very friendly and professional. Jackie was extremely thorough with my visit, also. She is being very proactive with a few options to better my health, those of which started immediately leaving the clinic. The others are follow ups, and I look forward to the calls to get those appointments set up. Thanks to everyone there for a great first visit.

I live in Newton and I see Dr. Billy Perry here. He sends me to your hospital. They have always been professional and hard working. I usually go to there lab and x-ray area. I am in and out of there within 30 minutes. Yes they are remodeling but I haven’t had any trouble getting in and out
