On 10/13/2019 I had my first ever visit to the ER as a patient. Every single person who attended to my care was kind, considerate, compassionate, efficient and thorough. Being a 'first-timer', I was a bit nervous however the staff and doctor put me at ease in short order. I was completely impressed with their service and will have no hesitation in going there should the need arise. Thanks again to the staff.

Wonderful experience in the ER yesterday morning. The nursing staff was extremely friendly and knowledgable. The physician was prompt and had treatment rolling quickly. Very efficient and caring. First time visiting and would recommend the ER to anyone in need. Happy to have this wonderful ER and staff in our community.

When I lived in Virginia I was treated so unethically that this hospital because most of the people don’t know any better. This is all they have! It’s worse at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester Virginia but by far please warn your family and friends to make the drive to Richmond Virginia or Newport News Virginia. Do NOT go in this hospital for anything. I have lupus. I had a flareup that was causing kidney problems and if I would’ve listened to the doctors (one doctor I was allowed to see) in this hospital I can’t imagine the horrible outcome as they refused dialysis. They refused the necessary testing to include basic blood work. I would of had kidney failure if I excepted the diagnosis and discharge that I was given in December of 2012 when I visited this hospital during a lupus flare up. They said my insurance had lapsed and I didn’t have coverage. That was incorrect! I came with a folder of medical history and showed the information. I also had proof I really did have current medical insurance that it was a glitch or something and would be corrected on Monday morning as when I came in it was Sunday evening!
