My wife and I recently had our new baby girl delivered at San Juan Hospital and our experience was amazing. My wife was scheduled for a c-section delivery on Friday, but she started having contractions on Tuesday so we came in to the hospital early and the nurses were all very caring and were eager to get my wife comfortable. We ended up having the baby that night, and the surgery and anesthesia staff were absolutely THE BEST!! They took great care in making sure that my wife received the best care, and also communicated with us on what to expect with every step in the process. 2 doctors completed the c-section and it went very well. Afterwards all the nurses jumped right in and were absolute angels when it came to caring for my new born daughter & wife.

We have an older daughter that was born in a metro area, and our experience there was much different, we didn't feel like we had the personal and caring touch that we received at this hospital. I definitely wouldn't hesitate in the future to bring any of my family members to San Juan Hospital.

My husband was admitted to the hospital on June 9th. At first the staff was efficient, then they the doctor wanted to do a scan to be sure he didn't have a stroke. They took him to the room only to find that the scan was not working. What kind of hospital does not check their equipment? Because of this the doctor decided that he was sending him to St. Mary's in Colorado, 3 1/2 hours away. When I suggested that he be sent to the hospital in Blanding 25 minutes away, the doctor stated that he didn't want to send him to a hospital that was substandard. End result my husband was sent to St. Mary's. I called that hospital to find that their services was equal to or in some cases better and their equipment was working. Now I am left to find transportation to bring him home. Our vehicle is disabled. My suggestion is if you have something considered minor by all means use this hospital if you even have a hint of something more serious have the ambulance go to Blanding they have working equipment.

Came in on last Sunday and was admitted and talking to a nurse in no time. Ended up needing the doctor that was promptly there. Long story short, I was ready to leave when the nurse's great intuitions ordered some further tests, and uncovered an infection that would've put me in serious condition if left untreated. Definitely the best hospital in the area tobe treated at.
