Thank you all, my complaints were taken care of. For example if you have a problem with poor clerks, like I did, I wrote a letter to the clerks supervisor with copy to: person in charge of clinic and copy to Human Resource. Trust me, one of these three will address the situation. Also, will someone please include the VA POLICE number in the directory. I believe the VA is good as long as you report the problem. Complaining doesn't solve ANYTHING. You MUST take action.
Urology services is the worst service VA may provided. There are practitioners with no supervision of qualified medical staff.
No empathy what so ever with patients.... attitude of superiority....
I’m currently treated at Tampa VA due to their lack of care for patients.... urology clinic should close for the lack of compromise with the patients
The entire hospital complex is surrounded by razor wire fencing. At least four San Juan police are on staff along with private security guards. This place is a prison hospital for veterans. I've visited other veterans hospitals that don't need this much security. Who ever they are keeping here must have some severe mental medical issues.
My mom takes my 88 year old grandfather to the er due to some chest pains. She’s there obviously to make sure her father is okay and keep him company. Well, they don’t provide chairs for their accompanying person apparently, they also told her not to sit on the bed with him while this other patient had someone sitting with him on his bed while getting iv fluids. So they tell her to wait outside. She founds a little lounge to sit and wait for my grandfather, and again, a nurse tells her she cannot be there and to wait outside the hospital! Very unprofessional if you ask me.
I went to VA hospital my Papi was suffering from urinary problems . He is a 94 years old WW2 Veteran who receives most of his care outside VA facility. Took him ER , was seen by Dr Sanchez , very compassionate, listened to him. Had lab, CT done all WNL. I was very impressed with services provided, of course we had to wait but nothing excessive. Excellent food in cafeteria . Papi spoke about his care all the way home. Thanks for all you do for our warriors.
