feedback about Tillamook Regional Medical Center
Just over all bad experiences. Every freaking time I go there. My main medical doctors are in Portland, but if complications happens and I need help I have to worry that tillamook is going to screw everything up or not help me.
I was in this Hospital for almost three days! They have the kindest doctors and nurses that I have ever seen working in a hospital! If the would have rating for 100 stars, that is what I would have given them!
I've been to this ER several times and have always had a good experience. Of course this is because I have realistic expectations of what an emergency department, staff and modern medicine are capable of.
Why would I go to an Emergency Department when I need a dentist? Would I go the ER when I need a vet? Would I see a car mechanic when my motorcycle isn't running well? Dental problems do not start overnight. It's your responsibility to see a dentist, not the ER's responsibility to give you pain medication when you have let the problem fester for weeks.
Why would I expect my narcotics get refilled for my chronic pain in the middle of a narcotic epidemic with more people dying of prescription narcotics then vehicle accidents or combined deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan wars? If I had chronic pain I would act like a responsible adult and make sure I don't run out on weekends. Right? Better yet I would lose weight, go to physical therapy and address the real problem.
Why would I go to an ER for months of a particular pain yet never make an appointment with my primary care doctor? I wouldn't. Again I would act like a grown up and be responsible by seeing my primary care doctor.
Why would I take my 5 kids to the ER for fever and runny nose? What's the emergency? "Well you never can be to sure doctor", Yes you can, it's called common sense. "Can I get a prescription for Tylenol and Ibuprofen, it's FREE with OHP." No but you can stop smoking and use that money to buy your kids medicine.
Being pain free is not a right. Life is filled with pain and suffering. It's what separates the good from the bad times. That's life everybody so suck it up. This is not the country and we are not the sturdy people we used to be 100 years ago. Modern medicine has placed all our hopes in a pill alleviating all personal responsibility from us.. God forbid we lose weight, stop smoking, exercise and eat well. Just give me a pill doctor so I can continue to be a noncontributing member of society and a suck on it's resources.
Very kind and are very nice to help people in need. Tillamook hospital is amazing.
ER was not worth the bill! Very rude staff from man clerk Shad to doctor were not customer oriented at all. Billing system is ridiculous. They will send you 3 different bills for the same visit.
