feedback about Va North Florida/South Georgia Healthcare System
The staff is what makes most places, a good or bad experience. We are so lucky to have caring people working here. It's not the typical nightmare you hear about concerning many VA hospitals
I always get great care here. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
I’m a combat retired Army Ranger who has been treated at VAs around South Ga and the whole of Florida.
The VA here at Malcom Randall is the best around and the care I receive here, although not perfect, is the best overall medical care I’ve experienced.
I am extremely grateful for the VA and the men and women who dedicate their lives to those who have served.
My Dad has been hospitalized here 8 times in 2 years. ER doctors Dr. Henderson and Dr. Husband were top flight both clinically and interpersonally. They ordered a complete work up on my dad and we felt confident that they left no stone unturned. Very lucky to have this high caliber of physician at the V.A.!! ER nurse Anita is A+++++ my dad has dementia and sundowns he can be aggressive and was on numerous occasions, in any other environment he’d have been restrained but Anita and Doctors redirected him on numerous occasions and calmed him... the nursing staff on 3E is awesome!!! Mayo Clinic move over! I really cannot say enough good things about the high quality of nursing care on this floor. Marla Berry, Holly MacIntyre, Freddie Feliciana, chase Bailey and Amanda go above and beyond for patients in their care. My dad sundowns and has dementia and they care for him expertly! Never running out of patience
Social worker Lynn was so kind!! She helped us obtain resources for my dad that he badly needs. She listened with compassion to our ordeal in caring for my dad and offered useful tools.
Medical dream team of Dr. Prabhakaran and Dr White are top clinicians and they too never run out of compassion or respect for patients. They extended generosity to us, family members who are lucky to be the recipients of vast reserves of information on how to best care for our dad. They implemented a whole approach from physical to mental health care for my dad to enable him to enjoy the best quality of life possible... can’t possibly express how fortunate we feel to have a top quality V.A. Malcolm Randall should be a model for all to follow, private sector included!!! So very greatful to Malcolm Randall for everything!!!
My dad uses the VA solely and he couldn’t be more pleased with their care of him. He has early stage dementia and was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and went through chemo and radiation (Shands) which killed the cancer and now he is in remission. He also had issues with his thyroid which likely came from radiation exposure and had a partial removal and a beautiful incision so likely will result in no visible scar tissue. He wanted me to post a review for the VA as he couldn’t be happier with them and thankful for the care.
