I have tried calling the "Appointments Scheduling Unit" several times. Each time I have waited over an hour listening to the same message over and over. "Your call is important to us, please stay on the line." Well, If you have a few hours and a land-line you may get a human. I gave up and drove to the hospital to make my appointments in person. I live close... Its sad to think about the vets too sick do this. Otherwise I've had good service when I arrive for my appointment.
A very great place to receive all forms of medical care. The staff, Doctors and nurses are very well trained & caring.
My father has been there since Thursday and I cannot get through these good forsaken phone lines. How can you people tell me he is on his deathbed and there is zero sense of urgency about the phones. The only VA hospital he has been in that has these problems. Fix your phone system.
Worst ER intake nurses ever. Both were on their phones the whole time and made me sit in the waiting room with my own urine sample in a bag for an hour and a half. Plus, against OSHA, they take vital signs and check you in, in the waiting room. Only reason they're getting 3stars is the fact that everyone else in the ER and ICU was absolutely fantastic.
I have received excellent care at Malcolm Randall VA Hospital since 2005 and exclusively since 2010. Of course, no hospital is perfect, but I would rather receive care here and in the VA system than any other place. Compared to the non VA hospitals I have been a patient in ( and most were very good) the staff here are the best. It seems that everyone has a sense of the privilege of serving those who served. And many themselves have military experience. Simply put, great care from great people. Thank you all.
