Excellent care. I was processed through ER intake, administered x-rays, given a physician's evaluation, issued brace and crutches, administered medication from the pharmacy and scheduled an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon in only three hours, 1100pm -2pm on a Thursday. Every staff member I encountered was kind and professional. Thank you.

The staff is what makes most places, a good or bad experience. We are so lucky to have caring people working here. It's not the typical nightmare you hear about concerning many VA hospitals

Love the care that I have received over the last 15 years. The Drs and staff are amazing. They care deeply for the Veterans.

The most awful emergency care experience ever! After being told by our neurologist's nurse to go to the ER for care because she couldn't get our doctor to return phone calls and emails after 2 months, we were met the RUDEST triage nurse, and er RN ever! After waiting for 10 hours to be seen, the nurse informed us they would get to us when they felt he was priority. His name was on a list and Washington DC knows how long he's waited, to take it up with them. The RN in charge of care was told the leads for the blood pressure came off and she was upset when another doctor hooked it back up and it registered really high. She came in and turned it off because her alarms kept going off. Even though my husband's bp stayed high, she kept the cuff off unless the doctor came through! The ER starts shutting down after 11:30, but they don't tell the patients waiting. They suddenly moved everyone to another wing. The nurse made sure to hit every wall, table, tray, and door on the way - really helped my husband's severe vertigo! Don't waste your time! They don't care about Vets!
