INTOXICATED MEDICAL STAFF
At approx. 11:30 AM, while dining at a local Mexican Restaurant next door to the hospital, I notice two people dining next to me wearing scrubs. I asked them if they worked at the hospital next door and they said, "yes." I asked, "Is it a nice hospital and they said, "Yes."
I noticed that they had ordered a couple of margaritas and some shots. I was shocked to see medical staff drink hard liquor and alcohol for lunch, so I called the hospital.
A receptionist answered the phone and I explained what I had witnessed and described what the medical staff looked like. She responded, "Where are you coming from." I said my cell phone." Then there were just crickets on the phone. I told her to connect me to the director.
She connected me to an administrator and I was met with shear apathy. She said they are open 24 hours and denied there was a problem. I said, "No, there is a problem and I wouldn’t want these intoxicated people working on me. Apparently, they have no respect for their employer or their patients." She just denied there was an issue and I hung up thoroughly disgusted.
If they work the AM to PM shift or from 9 to 5 they are still on their lunch break, either way they are returning to work intoxicated.
If you like intoxicated people administering your medical care - go here!
My doctor ordered an MRI, to be done at Valley View Hospital. The experience was awesome! The Outpatient staff was wonderful & caring. The Radiology staff was kind, caring, professional, and efficient. They made my MRI painless and quick, and thorough. My test results were completed by that afternoon, and in my doctor's hands.
I've been to many hospitals, in my lifetime, as I am an RN, and I can tell you, that Valley View Hospital, although smaller then many others, is just as good as a major city's trauma center hospital. I highly recommend Valley View Hospital.
AND..in addition....please avoid WARMC, in Bullhead City.....their ER doctor's have no compassion, are undereducated, slow, and treat patient's as if they were a pain. Valley View Hospital Staff, were ALL wonderfully compassionate & caring....and they knew what they were doing, in an efficient, effective, and quick way. You could feel that the staff truly cared.
Unfortunately Valley View has had a checkered past and has gotten some deservedly bad reviews for it. My recent experience, five weeks ago, has changed my mind about the hospital however. I had a total hip replacement surgery there and was pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and efficiency of the staff. They monitored my condition and kept me completely comfortable. I never felt ignored or under attended. I highly recommend this hospital over the other sites in the Bullhead/Ft. Mohave area.
The treatment my wife had was good all the nurse was pleasant she had a major surgery
I have had a few experience with Valley View, even stayed 8 nights with my mom there. Everyone was so caring to my mom..it’s where I go every time I need anything medical. Test, blood work, Cat Scan etc.
