I've used Van Wert Health for everything from: getting bloodwork in the lab; birthing a child(!); sitting with a sick family member in the ER; eating lunch in the cafeteria; and more. I am grateful to get such excellent care here. Whether it is experiencing a physician in the ER talk respectfully to my elderly family member or having my labor and delivery nurse stay almost THREE HOURS past her shift's end to help me deliver my child, I can't say enough about the folks going the extra mile in each department. I am so thankful for quality, compassionate care SO close to home!

By far the worst emergency room I have ever been to. I know of at least two deaths that occurred because of the horrible care or the ER doctors.

I was in the ERA several days ago, after falling and dislocating my left elbow. Received superb care from ER doctor, who explained everything in a way I could understand. The nurses were friendly and made me feel relaxed and relieved. The radiology staff were thorough and thoughtful doing the exrays and cat scans so my elbow was not excruciating in pain. I was lightly sedated when ER doctor put it in place. I was admitted, and learned next morning that I would go to surgery where I would be in a state to not feel anything as the surgeon, Dr. Neiman, would be able to manually put the elbow into place. The anesthesiologist also totally made my left arm numb. Even though I was in much pain after the numbness subsided, I was and am so thankful no surgery. Everyone giving me care was absolutely incredible.

Very poor times for the services provided. Hard for students and employees to actually make the appointments without takugg extra time off.

We were in-and-out within an hour Everyone was super nice to us and felt much better than when we got there.
