I hear a lit of complaints about the VMH ER. But I have to say that they have always treated me fair and with respect. I've been there numerous times in yhe past couple years and they do abs olutely perfect work in my opinion. I'm sure not everyone is gonna be satisfied but oh well.

My second son was born there back in '76 so I've had a lot of dealings with Vernon Memorial.According to one post ,she was treated by a doc that had his head up his ass, telling her frostbite was a fungal infection,I might have some idea who that person might be.For the most part I've had no problems with the place.Even had doings with the hospice department back in 2001.Very empathetic and worked with me because I had such crumby insurance.Every place has some idiots working for them and VMH is no different

I went to the ER because of blackish discoloration on my fingers and thumb which appeared only in the winter. The ER doctor was disgusted I was wasting his time on a trivial matter. He told me I had a fungal infection & to use hand cream on it. Since then I have discovered this "fungal infection" only appears in extremely cold weather when I've had to work outside without gloves or mittens on. In fact, it only appears in circumstances one would expect to get frostbite. After looking up frostbite on the web, I realize the "fungal infection" is really frostbite. The web says frostbite is a medical emergency and one is to get help from an ER immediately. But when I did that, the doctor wasted my time and money with his inept, arrogant misdiagnosis. So, instead of me wasting his time, he wasted mine, and wasted my money too. Plus put me at further risk for having the same condition repeat, since it had been misdiagnosed.
