My review is strictly on my experience with the billing department at Valley Baptist. I’ve been dealing with my situation for 5 months now. During my pregnancy I developed gestational diabetes and my Dr referred me to Valley Baptist for a class on how to use the glucose tester and a nutrition class. Before attending it was confirmed that my insurance would be covering the cost. A month later a get a bill. The finance department agrees misinformation was given to me by one of their reps however they refuse to take responsibility for their mistake. I have had no help or solutions from them. I have reported them to the BBB hoping to get results. I will never use this hospital ever again if I have a say so.
Never had a bad experience but yesterday my son (8yrs old) didn't even see a dr. But they put him in a rm for about 10mins then took us to the results waiting area, then took him to a lil rm to do the swabbing for the flu & strep throat. & the lady that was swabbing him was like "oh that was fun" pure giggles. Then when she gave him Motrin for his fever he was throwing up & she ran outta the rm for i dont know what for when the cup of water was on the counter. Then they put us back in the waiting area, like how is he supposed to have his privacy while hes sick. He had to lay down on the seats instead of the hospital bed. He saw a nurse practitioner, not a Dr. Oh & I never got a name of the lady either that swabbed my son.
Nurse in NBICU has bad people skills. Disrespectful. She can break a policy for someone else in front of me but can't help me. I don't get how you can break a policy you clearly told me and then do it for someone else.
Had a knee replacement in June. I was not given pain medication after surgery and was left in agonizing pain. I had to call the nursing supervisor for help, because the nurses did not respond.
I had to replace the other knee last Wednesday. Since, I had discussed the prior problems with management and was advised they had addressed my concerns, I had the surgery at Valley Baptist. Boy, that was a huge mistake.
This time, the anesthesiologist had to try my epidural injection for pain at least 4 times. They still did not get the medication in the right place. I was sedated, but no pain control. When the sedative wore off, I experienced the worst pain I had ever experienced in my life. The worst part was the lack of concern from hospital staff. It was a horrible, traumatic experience.
I will never go back to Valley Baptist. Beware!
From the time i walked into the ER to staying for three days wonderful care Thank you all.
