Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center

There are certain people put on this Earth by God who's purpose in life are to care for his children. No matter the situation, they were given a gift by The Lord to do whatever they can to help. These people can be found not only as Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Pastors, to name a few, but doctors and precious staff at the VA in Wilkes Barre. My father has so many ailments but these angels are actually in disguise as compassionate doctors and nurses at this VA. No they don't perform miracles but they won't give up. And they are there with you EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. Special thank you and love to the entire medical team connected with the 2nd floor Assisted Living. ❤

From out of state and lost a filling. Called hospital to see if they could help. Advised to come to emergency room around 0800hrs to be processed to Dental. Arrived 0800hrs , in dental chair 1000hrs departing VA 1030hrs with a new filling! Great staff and extremely helpful! Thank you again!

I’ve.been treated in Wilkes Barre, Honesdale and Allentown for the past 4 yrs. I have not had a single bad experience with the staff at any of these Wilkes Barre managed facilities.I am particularly appreciative with the cardiac care and cardiac cat unit at Wilkes Barre. The outpatient care is “world class”

I used to come here then in 2016 I went through the Montrose VA hospital in ny, so I came back home to my fiance in Wilkes Barre so, I naturally I tried to get back to this one. Well I have to ny va for all my appointment cuz this VA won't keep me on the medications I've been on for a few years that actually works for me.. so I have spend more money, time etc n I have a little boy on the way in the next few weeks...

Mixed bag with doctors. Some are great. Others are absolutely nightmare level terrible. The staff are nice. Not enough specialist doctors so get ready to deal with the Veteran's Choice Program run around. Forget about finding a parking spot. The parking here is a total sh*tshow. Be prepared to show up a good hour or so before your appointment because you'll be driving in circles for 40 minutes waiting for someone to finally leave. This place is always packed to the max. The new renovations are nice. The new ER is usually never busy. The entire facility is a cell phone dead zone and the wifi is terrible.
