Wythe County Community Hospital

Positives: Everyone for the most part was very nice to me. The aides that came in and did the blood pressure and temp checks were not at all nice. The RN, doctors and anesthesia were great. Negatives: I was not given the TV remote with nurses call button. I was ringing for the nurses using the bed call button but no one ever came. I ended up taking my IV out because I had to go to the bathroom and no one was coming to help me. I had no idea that the bed call button didn't work and I needed to use the remote call button. I wasn't even given the remote. It was in a basket on the wall. The food was horrible. The only meal I ate was the wild rice with mushrooms and Salisbury steak. The room was very small and the end of the bed prevented me from reaching my belongings that were in the closet and drawers. No one cleaned my toilet for at least 3 days.The took out trash but did not clean the toilet.

I was rushed to this ER earlier in the summer, after flipping a car and fracturing my neck in multiple places. The staff was friendly, patient with me, informative and all around amazing. My injuries have almost fully recovered and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to everyone who was there for me. Thank you all so much for everything ❤️

I spoke to one of the billing secretaries or clerk. I explained my displeasure in the handling of my youngest son's medical bill. Last December he went to the ER at Wythe. Now mind your the first bill of any kind that I have seen was a creditor collection notice on August 12th of this year. Mine you I never ever stepped foot in the state of Virginia at any point in my life. My son's mother and her husband were on vacation when my son became ill. Anyway they sent the bill to my son's grandmother which is his mother's mom. The big kicker is; wait for it. Wythe released my son after a short er visit and he became sick again hours later resulting in several nights stayed in the Cincinnati Children's hospital. I explained of this and the lady I spoke too who is probably racist, threatened to hang up on me, after I said how the "Hell" did this happen. This Wythe County Community should be closed and the hospital should be made into a parking lot.

My nephew went into the hospital with a piece of metal stuck in his leg and said he has to wait till next Tuesday or Thursday to go see a doctor then have surgery after he sees a doctor. That’s why I will never go to wytheville hospital. It’s a bandaid station. I will drive the hour and 15 minutes to go to LewisGale Medical Center or to Carilion.

This is the worst hospital I would not bring my dog here. My husband was passing a kidney stone his was in such pain they told him to wait and if he wanted anything to drink.No num scull he is in pain.Mind you were were the only ones in there.Hello what's wrong with this picture.20 min later we left to go to Radford.Do bring anyone there.
