Limbach Facility Services LLC, a construction and engineering company based in Warrendale, PA, experienced a cyberattack that compromised its computer network. The breach was detected on April 23, 2023, with unauthorized access occurring between April 19, 2023, and April 22, 2023. During this period, certain files on the network were accessed and exfiltrated, affecting the protected health information (PHI) of 1,392 current and former members of its Group Benefit Plan. The compromised information included names, Social Security numbers, and limited health insurance plan enrollment information. The incident was reported to the HHS’ Office for Civil Rights, impacting a total of 8,331 individuals.
