So my 91 year old grandfather is taken to the ER this evening with a fever, high blood pressure, chest pain and shortness of breath. He is told there is no rooms available. (Not enough staff for the rooms) He is told to wait in the lobby. He waits in the lobby for over 2.5 hours and people come in after him complaining of an injured foot are TAKEN BACK IMMEDIATELY. So an injured foot takes precedence over a 91 year old with a heart condition complaining of chest pain and shortness of breath?! How does that even make sense?? I have given this ER so many chances and they blow it every single time. They've prescribed prednisone to my daughter WHEN SHE WAS NOT EVEN 6 WEEKS OLD. And after giving her a dose her pediatrician said "No, absolutely do not give her a steroid." And another trip prescribed medication NOT RECOMMENDED DURING PREGNANCY when I was pregnant. They did not take blood or urine to check potassium or anything of the sort when my complaint was not being able to keep food down for several days while pregnant and my OB/GYN sent me to the ER. Unfortunately this is the closest ER to us but it's honestly probably worth the longer drive to Butler or Pittsburgh. If you want proper care, do not go to ACMH.
From the Wizard. This Hospital and there staff there are vary wonderful. The Doctor an staff on the 2a word are great and they know how to speak with people who are dealing with problems.
Was well treated, service was quick and efficient. Nurse Miller is the epitome of an excellent nurse. Polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. If you have her you'll be fine.
Also, if you're a 'spoonie', aka. Have a non visible disease, especially one that involves chronic pain, or even if you had an injury and were underprescribed find me on instagram, Ironblacksmith83!
I was very well taken care of when I had complications from my gallbladder surgery.
Normally this er is pretty good..never had a problem until now....today my husband went and got stitches in his finger and a splint because it was on the knuckle almost to the tendons....I wasn't with him....he came home with BLOOD still on his hand...how sanitary is that ?!?!?!? It's the first thing I noticed... The tech didn't do a very good job cleaning his hand....not very happy with this trip
