Common Questions

How do I check the status of my records request?

Log into your account dashboard to review the latest recorded status for an active request. Email notifications may also be sent when a material status change is recorded.

What if I never received my activation email?

Check your spam folder first — transactional emails sometimes land there. If you still can't find it, email support@medicalrecords.com with the email address you used to sign up and ask the team to investigate.

Can I get a refund if the provider can't locate my records?

Refund eligibility depends on the request status, the checkout terms, and the Terms of Service. Contact support if a provider cannot fulfill the request. Provider-assessed copying, media, certification, postage, or delivery fees are separate.

How do I request records from multiple providers?

Each provider requires a separate records request and authorization. You can submit multiple requests from your dashboard. For cases involving many providers — common in legal cases — contact us directly and we'll set up a bulk request.

Can I authorize someone else (attorney, family member) to receive my records?

Yes. During the request process, you can specify an authorized recipient. For legal cases, we can send records directly to your attorney's office. Contact support if you need to add an authorized representative to an existing request.
