Our family doctor sent my husband to this so called ER because he believed his knee was infected due to a serious fall . They did absolutely nothing except give him a brace which we already have. Did not give him a steroid shot for the inflammation, as it was very swollen and painful to walk on. No antibiotics or even pain meds . What good are they? No payment for no service.
We were in Richmond at our sons special Olympic soccer tournament when my husband had chest pains. Our hotel was in Berra and I was in a boot cast and could not drive. The ER doctor Johnathan has won his place in Heaven for us. He “talked” my husband into staying for more tests because my husband of 30+ years was positive it was reflux! It was not! They admitted him, took care of him, me, my autistic son, and all of soccer families that came out of concern! The nurse Allison, should have a super hero cape on! Doctor Johnathon had said he was moving to Louisville, we wish him well. We live in Louisville. If we could find him, we would love to take him to a Ruth’s Chris dinner. My husband was transferred to Jewish in Louisville and had 3 stents put in. We send up prayers of gratitude every day for Baptist, Richmond. They are angels and we still thank them for their caring, professionalism, and expertise!
I was seen in the ER for some terrible symptoms, slurring speech, unable to walk, right sided weakness, vomiting, a headache so bad I couldn’t even sit up and the headache I had was for 1 week, I had vision problems, like a weird double vision, I couldn’t hear, like a bowl over my head, I was totally disoriented, I couldn’t even remember how to text, since I was transported via ambulance, I had to figure out how to get a ride home hence not being able to figure out how to text even though I had always texted before. I had all these concerning symptoms. The Dr ordered a cat scan, which showed nothing, chalked all this off as a “migraine headache” so being I had all these concerning symptoms, further analysis should have been done. We had a terrible snow storm that night and I was discharged. Later I saw my primary care doctor for my symptoms were no better. An MRI was ordered and low and behold I have 4 brain lesions, multiple sclerosis. I’m very upset of the treatment I had that night, my symptoms caused numerous problems and was discharged and I couldn’t walk, talk, I couldn’t see, couldn’t hear and totally disoriented. I was outside crying for the lack of concern or help. Shame on no empathy for your patient. Much needed improvement required!!
Horrible place to go! Staff is rude and there’s really no reason to be rude to someone who is in the emergency room
All four of my daughters were born at this hospital and I have had nothing but good experiences here. When my Gallbladder surgery from a different medical institution ran into complications, this is the place that patched me up and made things right. From what I can tell, this place offers nothing but the finest care. I'm not sure where all of these negative reviews are coming from. The staff are competent, caring and professional. The food could be better, but if you sneak in a little salt, even that's not too bad.
