I was seen in the ER for some terrible symptoms, slurring speech, unable to walk, right sided weakness, vomiting, a headache so bad I couldn’t even sit up and the headache I had was for 1 week, I had vision problems, like a weird double vision, I couldn’t hear, like a bowl over my head, I was totally disoriented, I couldn’t even remember how to text, since I was transported via ambulance, I had to figure out how to get a ride home hence not being able to figure out how to text even though I had always texted before. I had all these concerning symptoms. The Dr ordered a cat scan, which showed nothing, chalked all this off as a “migraine headache” so being I had all these concerning symptoms, further analysis should have been done. We had a terrible snow storm that night and I was discharged. Later I saw my primary care doctor for my symptoms were no better. An MRI was ordered and low and behold I have 4 brain lesions, multiple sclerosis. I’m very upset of the treatment I had that night, my symptoms caused numerous problems and was discharged and I couldn’t walk, talk, I couldn’t see, couldn’t hear and totally disoriented. I was outside crying for the lack of concern or help. Shame on no empathy for your patient. Much needed improvement required!!
