Personally I think the entire Florida Medical system is a piece of junk compared to what we were used to up in Northern Virginia before retiring here. Florida hospital ER here in Dade City has been the one bright spot. Fast effective and easy to get to and out of. I've seen a lot of medical reviews that were negative on this emergency room. Found them to be quite professional and measured good results from being treated.

Dont go there my primary Care physician is connected to that hospital too and she's just as bad as the doctor that seen me there in the emergency room. I've got congestive heart failure and chronic kidney failure, I told them I couldn't breath had me hooked up to the monitor there was nobody in there when my oxygen levels went below 50 at least 3 or 4 times it was up and down blinking red and sounding the alarm and no one come to check on me they released me and I went home wish I could get a medical malpractice practice suit on them people and my PCP also

Wow! I received a phone call from my mother Saturday evening asking if I would accompany her to the hospital as my brother had been referred there by the staff at Davida as his wrist was inflamed and very tender to the touch. The staff were were kind and pleasant. After x rays the young female doctor came in and said it was arthritis. They knew he was a diabetic and reviewed his current medications. The doctor order a couple of prescriptions for him to begin taking. THANK GOD my mother had enough sense to confer with his primary doctor before he began taking the medications. . . ALL PRESCRIPTIONS THIS DOCTOR PRESCRIBED WOULD HAVE SHUT DOWN HIS KIDNEYS! As stated, they were all kind and caring - just be very careful and do your due diligence with your primary if you visit here. . . very scary.

Nurse Wendy in ER is terrible , no communication never sarcastic and rude . I asked if she wask if she was Wendy she stated “No she won the lottery and left.” Not good humor when in a scary situation. I asked her about my mother’s care and she said she would come in and do a overview , hours later . Nothing. I was staring at her to get her attention she looked at me and sarcastically said “ hey “ and kept walking . Absolutely unprofessional. She need intervention because it’s obvious she’d burnt out and I hope she is keeping up on her CEUs because I know the Florida Board Of Nursing and Joint Commission Dont Teach That Behaviour.

I've never had a better E.R. experience. Respectful, kind, professional, and speedy. If only our society in general could be this wonderful. 8/26/18 - 9a. Thank you to every staff member from the front desk to the escort out!
