feedback about Bayshore Medical Center
I’ve been going to the Bayshore Wound Care Center since August. DR. Gopalakrishnan and the staff is amazing here! They make you feel like family and they take great care of their patients! I’m so happy that I found this center. It’s been a great experience. I highly recommend them to everyone! Thank you! -Mark R.
My mother was admitted for a very low pulse. She was placed in a room and they performed an EKG, a CT scan, urine test. According to the nurse, her tests, all, came back normal. The unskilled doctor who came to see her the next morning, apparently had no idea of what has transpired nor what my mother still needed. He told my sister to have my mom get up and walk, since we were questioning why he wanted to put her on Physical Therapy. He stood like a big idiot and asked my sister to remove the vital signs cords she was connected to.... really. I have asked for someone to come check the vitals equipment, as it didn’t work on the previous room she was in, and are not working in this room either. I have no idea what they are thinking, but with the exception of a couple of nurses, no one here seems to know what they are doing. I 1/2 hours later, no one has come to talk to me, regardless of multiple requests. Some of the reviews for this hospital who advise to not bring your loved ones to this place are 100 correct. The nurse, Hank, finally came, although he was not the assigned nurse and change out the cords to a mobile vitals machine. He actually seemed to know what he was doing.
I had my second child here and I loved it. The nurses were so helpful and answered all my questions. I felt so comfortable, I wish I remembered the nurses name who helped me delivered she was so helpful and nice. The labor and delivery floor knows what they are doing and they make sure you are in good hands. Thank you Bayshore nurses!
I would give no stars if I could! I had a 103 fever for almost 24 hours and went to bay shore for a pounding headache body aches and sore throat. They turned me away saying I just had a cold and they weren't going to treat me. I went to another clinic since they TURNED me AWAY and turns out I have a bad case of strep throat and needed antibiotics!! My throat is covered in blisters! And I still have a fever!! Bayshore is a joke. Not the first time they have given me inadequate care but turning me away when I am as sick as I am is pathetic! Go to clear lake regional. They always get you in and out and give you exceptional care.
During a hospitalization in July, 2018 my privacy was violated in the ER. Days later I made a HIPAA violation complaint to the Hospital’s Safety Director. I was told they had 60 days to investigate. I received 1 notification that they were investigating and a follow up, which provided no information. I do not know how this was investigated. Since this privacy breach I have received no resolution and will escalate the issue further. I will reach out to the Office of Civil Rights first and further if necessary. Is Bayshore Hospital already under a Corrective Action Plan?
