Hello, I never rate anything though I should! I just wanted to say my most recent experience at BMC ER was awful! A Physicians assistant waited on me, he was condescending, unsympathetic, would listen to nothing I had to say, and was jumping to conclusions and putting words in my mouth!! Received mediocre care, and he was also downplaying my symptoms!! I have serious doubts about ever returning!!

If i could give zero stars, I would. My grandmother was having severe symptoms/dizziness for an extended period. She kept going to the doctor here, and kept getting told "it is just vertigo, go home and rest". Well, she ended up having a heart attack. Luckily, she is alive. Baystate hospital performed surgery and took care of it. Here's the scary part. The cardiologist at baystate told us that her original symptoms(the ones that BMC said were vertigo) were early warning signs of the coming heart attack. There was a blockage, not enough blood flow, and causing her symptoms. Baystates doctors could have prevented her heart attack. My advice, GO TO BAYSTATE!!!!!!

Filthy floors, apathetic/rude staff, my mother was in for a surgery and was told she could have a sponge bath but there was "no soap" and we watched as her elderly roomate was not allowed to leave and 2 massive security guards keep her from leaving. Was also scolded by a PA for coming in for ear problems when there was an urgent care (I was busy until after they closed and have a history of very severe ear infections). The man looked in my right ear "this one looks fine" looks in the other "there is fluid in this one"
Looks back in my right ear again "oh yeah, there is some in this ear too!"
