My husband has had two different procedres done by Dr. Burno within the past couple of years. Dr. Burno himself is great. However, having to deal with the staff for anything is the absolute worst experience (both times) I've ever seen in a doctors office.
If you leave a message for a nurse you are lucky if you get a call back three days later. If you have a problem you're better off going back to the ER because by the time you get a call back you might wind up in there anyway. Have questions? Don't bother calling the office nobody ever answers all you get is an automated message saying, "We are experiencing high call volume, please try your call again later." Have medical paperwork you need filled out for work and insurance purposes? Be prepared for nothing to get done and get the run around and have to actually come TO the office physically to be able to speak to anyone because once again you won't get anyone on the phone.
Dr. Or nurse changed your appointment to an earlier day or time? Be prepared for the office staff to know NOTHING about it and look at you like you're the crazy one instead of trying to verify with somebody what's going on. Seriously the absolute most unorganized, unprofessional, rude, staff I have ever seen at a doctors office. Sorry not sorry!!
I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW BECAUSE MY DR SENT IN A REFERRAL AND THIS OFFICE AND THEY MADE AN APPOINTMENTFOR ME AND NEVER NOTIFIED ME OF THIS APPT. AND ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE THE APPT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF JANUARY I AM REALLY UPSET BECAUSE THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN MY FIRST VISIT AND I ONLY FOUND OUT BY CALLING MY PRIMARY DR ASKING ABOUT THE REFERRAL I WOULD NOT REFER THIS UROLOGIST TO MY WORST ENEMY BECAUSE THEY ARE TRULY UNPROFESSIONAL.
I have kidney stones. I paid I50 bucks to be told come back in a month and no pain meds. What do they do here?..
I tried to call but they never answer the phone, but they mailed me a letter saying an apointment with them on a date and time I have class without descussing it with me on the phone. Worst doctor office experience I've ever had.
Doctor Lopez is great and very attentive. I always have problems reaching the front desk to make an appointment. It goes through the blah blah speech.. now press 1 for appointments, it rings, then automation comes on that they are all busy, call back later. If I need the nurse, forget it...I leave a message and never get a return call. Today I was discharged from the hospital after surgery, was told to call the office for a 2 week appointment..guess what I got again...they are busy, call back. grrrrrr!
