feedback about Cape Fear Valley Medical Center
Husband was supposed to have an appointment today, he showed up for his appointment and there was a note on the door saying their office hours for this week are from 8an - 12pm due to air conditioner issues. It took forever to get the appointment scheduled in the 1st place, now THEY are NO SHOWING their own Customers. Nobody could be bothered to call him to reschedule. If we no show an appointment, you can guarantee that they would be charging us a fee! SO...NOT...IMPRESSED!!!
My God this place is awful. I had to reschedule my appointment and found out the doctor who had replaced the other doctor I was supposed see is leaving too. There is no consistency with this place and apparently the doctors hate this place as much as I do. They are dropping like flies. This is the great quality you get from the Cape Fear Valley medical system. They need to shut down and start all over again. I'd go somewhere else but I'm afraid the alternatives would be just as awful. They need to get it together.
1. My appointment to even be established as a NEW PATIENT kept getting postponed for over a year.
2. By the time I was seen as a NEW PATIENT, my urologist had left the state.
3. In January, the replacement urologist, had seen me and informed me that I had fluid collecting on my right kidney, so she scheduled a urodynamics study to be performed.
4. My mother and I showed up yesterday for the test, only for a nurse to ask if we rescheduled, if there was any way that we COULD BRING MY LIFT!!!
I have been confined to a wheelchair since I was 19, and have done many stints in physical rehabs. Never have I ever been to an office, where the doctor SAW ME in a wheelchair, and still suggest a study.
Unbeknownst to us, they took a lunch break and didn’t even let us wait in their waiting room. I am disgusted by their lack of professionalism and knowledge of MY medical history. The nurse did not even know why the urologist had scheduled the test.
My husband has had two different procedres done by Dr. Burno within the past couple of years. Dr. Burno himself is great. However, having to deal with the staff for anything is the absolute worst experience (both times) I've ever seen in a doctors office.
If you leave a message for a nurse you are lucky if you get a call back three days later. If you have a problem you're better off going back to the ER because by the time you get a call back you might wind up in there anyway. Have questions? Don't bother calling the office nobody ever answers all you get is an automated message saying, "We are experiencing high call volume, please try your call again later." Have medical paperwork you need filled out for work and insurance purposes? Be prepared for nothing to get done and get the run around and have to actually come TO the office physically to be able to speak to anyone because once again you won't get anyone on the phone.
Dr. Or nurse changed your appointment to an earlier day or time? Be prepared for the office staff to know NOTHING about it and look at you like you're the crazy one instead of trying to verify with somebody what's going on. Seriously the absolute most unorganized, unprofessional, rude, staff I have ever seen at a doctors office. Sorry not sorry!!
I tried to call but they never answer the phone, but they mailed me a letter saying an apointment with them on a date and time I have class without descussing it with me on the phone. Worst doctor office experience I've ever had.
