feedback about Chambersburg Hospital
The birthing center and maternity nursing staff were absolutely amazing. I could name so many names of the incredible women who took care of me while I stayed here. The doctors and midwives from Keystone included and the OR and anestiologist who all saved my sons life were incredible as well. I couldn’t be more pleased with how well they took care of me and my baby boy here. I’m so glad I chose to stay with this hospital for my labor and delivery.
Recently I was admitted for a kidney stone in the ER. The ER physician and nurses were attentive. The hospitalist was on top of my situation. Spoke to the urologist on call. Communication was clear and concise between all medical staff. My severe pain which I was experiencing was resolved immediately upon being admitted to the first floor. I was seen by the nurse practitioner and physician assistant in the morning. The nursing personnel was caring and professional. I was added on the surgical schedule met both the anesthesiologist and nurse anesthetist. It relived my anxiety. The doctor who performed the procedure was professional and courteous and answered any questions or concerns I had. My experience was excellent. Thank you for taking care of me. It was greatly appreciated
my experience at this hospital was very interesting..too many things to list..but ppl you know you can report these Drs and nurses..and the hospital owner to pa licence board, the AMA.. i most certainly am going to.
First visit: Went to their emergency room and waited 2 hours to get admitted, finally get in there and I get stuck in a hallway bed where I wait another 30 min before I see a "dr", they wheeled me down the hall 30 ft and asked me questions and then give me motherly advice and send me on my way without doing one test on me. And sent me a $1000 bill!
Long story short, I went to another hospital and saw a neurologist to find out I was having multiple seizures a day! chambersburg hospital thought that I was fine though..
2nd visit: i had lots of side effects on the anti seizure meds i was put on, so i went here for a change of meds since my neurologist was on vacation, they gave me different seizure meds and sent me on my way.
3rd visit: 5 days later i was still having the same seizure and the new seizure meds they gave me just gave me side effect and didn't help at all so i went back to the er, to possibly get different meds because my neurologist was on vacation, still. I was in the hospital for 5 hours, i finally got a room (a chair in a hall way) where i finally got to talk to a "dr" who i asked to switch my meds to something that might actually work, he did not, he said he would refer me to wellspan neurology and that he talked to a neurologist there, i was ordered to call them first thing in the morning because he gave me a referral and set up an appointment. The following day i call wellspan twice, no referral given.. i called chambersburg to see if it was still being processed, they had to call me back.. 5 hours later i get a call and they tell me that they don't do referrals. So they litterally kept me there for 5 hours and did nothing for me but lie. WORST HOSPITAL I'VE EVER BEEN TO, 2.3 RATING IS TOO HIGH FOR SUCH A WORTHLESS HOSPITAL, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE.
Took my mother here ar 2:30 am went straight back lobby was empty by 4 am we had seen 1 nurse and thats it. My mother being a 60 year old veteran decided she rather go back home than wait . Beds was empty ,nurses were sitting idly at the station. we walked right past casually no one even said anything registration didn't even notice she just said we are free to go smh plave
