You get some rude nurses, you get really nice an amazing ones. I had a mixture of both.. One of the nurses was way out of line and made me cry and feel horrible BUT that was 1 nurse and the hospital does not deserve a horrible review over 1 person.. The Hospital Manager was very nice and apologized and fixed the issue. Every nurse had different opinions on the pacifier while breastfeeding which made it hard but of course they will, it's a matter of opinion.

I work for the Chambersburg Hospital/Summit Health and I find it to be a place that is striving to make things better for patients and our community. I don't think Franklin County knows how many health related activities that Summit supports and the work it does to educate people on cancer, childhood obesity, healthy eating and so much more. No place is perfect, but we are all striving for excellence in taking care of our neighbors, friends and family.

My grandmother unfortunately slipped into a coma, and I was given the choice whether or not to let her pass away. I decided to do so, but instead of pulling the plug, they erected an elaborate guillotine around her bed, decapitating her. I thought it was overkill but the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The birthing center and maternity nursing staff were absolutely amazing. I could name so many names of the incredible women who took care of me while I stayed here. The doctors and midwives from Keystone included and the OR and anestiologist who all saved my sons life were incredible as well. I couldn’t be more pleased with how well they took care of me and my baby boy here. I’m so glad I chose to stay with this hospital for my labor and delivery.

I can't say enough about how caring the staff have been with my father. The nurses, physicians and all other staff were both professional AND personal with my father. There was such a great balance to it all. CRNP Joseph and Dr. Jablin were very caring, patient and informative. Dr. Jablin was very thorough in addressing my father's questions and concerns and returning and going over it with my brother and I and answering our questions. My father is a chatty and often joking with nurses and other staff; they never were rude or curt to him no matter how busy things were for them. He said the food was great too!!! It looked good in my opinion. The dietary staff were awesome too. They went over his choices with him all the time. Thank you for taking great care of my father.
