In for knee replacement 10/15. The presurgical care was great. My doctor was fabulous. From there it was downhill. Daytime nursing care was just ok. I was told they would get me up after surgery. They did not. I saw but 2 ice bags during my entire stay. And they had empty rooms. Further I was never informed of a telephone in my room. I was never given toiletries until I asked for them. Finally I never received a menu. I was only given the choice of two specials of the day. On top of that the food was not that good. Improvement is definitely needed.

Went to the ER with severe abdominal pain was told it would be a 4 hour wait and the waiting room was packed nowhere to sit. With a new remodel and a city to service you'd think they could do better or at least made a larger waiting area!

When I had difficulty finding the name of an on-call physician on a holiday, I was advised to phone the ER. There a nurse with a friendly, take-charge attitude found the information I needed. She had promised to call either way. By so doing, she relieved my pre-surgery angst and quietly made up for a lack at another facility. This adds to my very positive view of a hospital which takes service to the community seriously.

The registration lady gave us warm blankets while we were in the waiting room, we were so grateful.

During sever abdominal pain, I was hesitant to drive 30 minutes to Chester County Hospital when Jennersville Hospital is right down the street but I am so thankful that I did. The two woman that greeted/signed me in we’re so calm, even while I was moaning and crying in excruciating pain. Every single nurse that came into my room (Jerry, Anna Marie, Susan are all that I can remember at the moment) are unbelievably comforting and checked on my pain as often as they could. Victor wheeled me up to surgery from the ER and you could not imagine a smoother ride and nicer man. Before the unexpected surgery I had done to remove my ovary, all of the nurses, Dr. Curey, and Dr. Beam made me feel at ease, answering any questions that I had in a professional way. Christine was the nurse who greeted me after my surgery and was gentle and sweet as ever, even when the nausea kicked in. Although I wish I had not had this experience in the first place, I am so overwhelmed with the amazing staff at Chester County Hospital. I wish I could personally thank each and every one of them for making this experience the best it could have been.
