feedback about Claremore Indian Hospital
I just gave birth here last month and had a wonderful experience. I was terrified but the nurses in the OB made me feel at ease and treated me like someone who needed care, not like a nuisance. We stayed two additional days and as a first time mom I had a lot of questions and a nurse named Stephanie was working each night and was able to help with anything we needed. I could not thank her enough. If you have the option to give birth here I really recommend it.
This is the worst hospital I've ever been to. The other reviews are absolutely right. This place needs to shut down. I went several times to the ER for the same issue and they told me they couldn't help me unless I conformed to the doctor's X-Ray request.
At Claremore they wanted to give me an X-Ray and prescribe prescriptions that would have been harmful to a pregnant mother. I told them my husband and I were trying to conceive and there was a possibility I could be pregnant. He refused to give my a pregnancy test because "that is not an emergency" and then refused to treat me because I did not agree to take an X-Ray. I went in another time and the nurse set my IV, needles, and bandages on a trash can lid right before sticking me.
I've been going to this hospital since I was a small child. Minus the pediatrics - the dental, mental health, medical clinic, ER, lab, and every other other department in that hospital is a joke!
I read a lot of these reviews and I don't get it.
My wife and I are utilizing these services for our most recent pregnancy. I'm not native american, my wife is, and this hospital couldn't care less about me (the way it should be) and they are extremely deeply concerned about my wife and the fetus. This place is a GOD SEND and I enjoy coming to the appointments with my wife.
Thank you CIH for being here!
Had my gallbladder removed by doctor Wyatt staff was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant
I went to get my toe x-rayed which only took about 1.5 hours, but then they let me sit for another 3.5 hours before telling me the radiologist was out, and they wouldn't know until said radiologist returned. I could have left right after the x-ray since I already knew nothing could be done for a broken toe, and I wasn't interested in a prescription. A simple yes or no would have done well enough for me, and that could have been done over the phone once someone with enough of a brain to look at a picture and say as much was there rather than making me wait for litterally nothing.
