feedback about East Jefferson General Hospital
We have known this hospital over a five-year span as patients. We had diagnostics done, routine annual care, as well as inpatient care, and we received exceptional care in all departments. The doctors and nurses were all unhurried, caring, and professional, especially in the women's clinic and birthing center. Dr. Traci Iwamoto and the breastfeeding team deserve a special mention. They were available at all times and even returned calls after hours, on multiple occasions. The rooms were clean and quiet. All mothers with newborns are in single rooms. Thank you, EJGH!
PS: parking is free and convenient (attached garage)
Very efficient and professional staff. I was here with my Dad who had major surgery performed. The hospital functioned in a patient and family friendly manner.
The ER service is very slow and lots of paperwork to fill out. No pediatric ER. Most of the staff were nice and professional but some were not caring at all. The clinics are good. The privacy need to be improved. Parking is available for free.
Tonight, our friend was sent to the ER. I was informed by my group of friends that my friend had a seizure or something of the sort. Obviously concerned, we all get there to the ER waiting room. My group of friends had already been waiting for approximately an hour or two before we were informed of anything. The only information we received was, "He's okay", from the male nurse on staff tonight.
A male nurse with long hair was exceptionally rude to us and made it distinctly clear that he did not want to talk to us, obviously displaying his attitude toward our group of 6 concerned friends, and on top of that as we were leaving (since it was clear he wouldn't let us see our friend, WHOM called us back later that early morning btw) we asked the male nurse to simply inform our friend that we were here waiting for him had in fact lied to our face and didn't even tell him that we waited for him.
Oh boy, I'm glad to see the overwhelming concern displayed (sarcasm) from the staff tonight and the extreme bias shown toward us tonight. Why? Because we were a large group showing concern for our friend? At least I know not to die here.
My 3 month old niece had a 103 fever and they did not do anything about it we were there for 6 hours
