Hands down the best hospital I have been to. The Labor and Delivery unit is phenomenal. The staff that took care of me and my little one are some of the most kind and genuine individuals I have ever met. It was such a blessing to have them. The nurses are wonderful, accommodating, and considerate. The doctors are amazing here as well.

If I could give less than one star, I would. They don't care about their patients, especially if they've just had a baby. I missed out on 2 weeks of my newborn's life because they cut corners when I had him and when I had to come back. After I had my son, I had to come back and stay in the hospital for a week where they kept taking blood and not giving me results, gave me medicine that they said was safe for breast feeding and I had been sending breast milk home for my son but after a week they said "oh, actually it's not." They sent me home without knowing what was wrong with me and I landed in the hospital again but I refused to go back to saint Anthony's. There's so much more that happened but it's too much to type for a review I'm sure no one will read. In short, if you need a hospital and this is the closest one, just keep driving to the next one.

Also, I know now there's a comment telling me to email them. I did, they said someone would call me. No one called me. I tried to call them. No one answered. They may be trying to make themselves look better by saying that they care but they sincerely don't.

My newborn son has a fever. His doctor told me to bring him in. The staff have been nothing short of rude the entire time ive been here. Instead of having nicu draw his blood from the start they proceeded to poke him multiple times with no results. One of the worst hospital experiences ive ever had

The nicu nurses are the best! I loved every single one of them and how much they cared for our newborn.

Very inconsistent care. When it’s good, it’s great! They pay attention to what needs to be done and they do it in a timely manner while having someone to check in on your personal needs. In contrast, when it’s bad, it’s horrible. Nurses who barely acknowledge you, doctors who come and go either because they don’t care or are overworked. I absolutely would not take a child here nor would I suggest their maternity ward. Their ER is just okay - depends on which doctor is in. Oncology is not the best, but not bad. Cardiology is similar. If you can, I suggest a different hospital, like Community in Munster. If traveling that far is out of the question, this hospital definitely beats out Memorial in Merrillville and Porter Memorial.
