This hospital has greatly improved. I was there with my daughter and the ER experience was amazing. There was no waiting for a bed. During triage the lab tech drew blood. The doctor came in and spoke with and examined my daughter. She diagnosed and ordered my daughters medication from the pharmacy. My daughter was given her meds and her discharge papers. The entire experience from start to finish was 30 minutes. Efficiency and patient centered care at it's best. Keep up the good work. Greatly improved experience.
Waayy better than the former Chicago Heights location. The staff are more polite and professional. They don’t carry attitudes and make sure you get in and get out. No long wait times.
Since they open new er wait time is super long. When you go prepare to wait 7t hours
This hospital is the worst. I was the only person in the waiting room for two hours when I arrived!!! I’m still waiting for even one test to be done after five hours of being here. I have left here without being seen almost every time I ever come. Who can be patient for hours when you feel like you are dying??? The ladies at the desk just talk the whole time you wait, so you get to listen to all of their gossip. People will even come out of the back to talk sports with the desk ladies...again while you wait dying. Then you get people that walk in and they are laughing and walking fine and they are taken first...while again you feel like you are dying. I super hate this hospital and they used to be the best!
Update: Tony is the best ER nurse ever!!!!! 😊
My dad is in ICU and some of his nurses have been excellent, Paul and Jenn. I'd give them 5 stars. However, as a whole the nurses are so f*#@*%# loud, having a party in the hallway, while the patients are trying to sleep. It's taking every bit of me not to scream shut the f@*# up! Show some damn respect.
And don't get me started on the ER. He waited 12 hours to be admitted!
Today, my dad had an endoscopy and the doctor was amazing (GI specialist, I unfortunately can't remember his name). He was very nice and informative. However, my dad's respirations were bad, so they kept him on a ventilator while he was waking up (tube down his throat). He was having a horrible time-gagging, trying to talk, flipping out, chewing on the tube. We asked if they could pull it and put a mask on him. They said no and that we should leave because we're irritating him. He had a rude, uncaring nurse. They had us leave. The doctor did talk to us and explain why they wanted to keep it in, which I get and it was nice of him to come talk to us after I may have slammed a door...Anyways, we left and called a little later to check on him. They said he chewed through the tube and then put him on a bipap mask. Why the f@*! couldn't they do that to begin with?! I hate leaving him there...
