I always use GP when I need the ER or hospitalization. Compared to other area hospitals they are more friendly, have more compassion, make fewer mistakes, and provide a greater quality of care. They help make an otherwise difficult situation more tolerable. The nursing staff, physical therapy, and even food and nutrition are always pleasant and go the extra step in providing an excellent quality of health care. Thank you Garden Park.
The nurses taking care of me while I was at Garden Park Hospital were all caring, knowledgeable and professional all the time throughout my 3 day stay. The facility was clean and quiet. When I was released from the hospital, I was told how to take my medicines and how to take care of myself to recover fully.
My first trip to the hospital was amazing. I had a mammogram and a bone density test. Esther was professional and caring. She made my exam both comfortable and pain free. I will definitely come back for my other exams and also let my friends know.
I will never use this hospital again. My ob called their ER and let them know that she had to send me there because my pregnancy was eptopic. They were not ready for me. I was distraught and in pain. The ER was not ready for me. I waited over 6 hours for them just to confirm that my doctor was right. The staff treated me horribly, it was like no one knew that I was losing a baby and it was not a great time for me.. When they started talking about keeping me, that's when I had bad enough. My doctor had already given me a run down of what was going to happen. I was not mentally prepared to spend the night and lose a baby. I made them discharge me. They told me to be back at 6 am so I could see the doctor.. I came back at 6 the doctor walked in.. Asked me why I was there, why I didn't get the shots last night. I ranted to him how horrible the treatment I received was. He left, then a nurse came in not too much longer than that and have me the shot. And I was home not much longer after that. That to me said that they were just trying to squeeze whatever they could out of me. Another thing I want to quick address, there was one time a male nurse came in to "check" on me. He was looking at the computer, to me that said hey I can see why you're here. It didn't.. He was very cheery and bright. I was horrible and short with him. I am sorry Mr. Nurse guy. Poor thing didn't understand when I asked when I could leave because this was turningturning and to be very traumatic to me. He asked what was traumatizing.. And I said having to kill my unborn child.
Oh, and to the ultrasound tech that they used. You suck and you should find another job where you are more compassionate and less masochistic.
Everyone was great. I work at the hospital and was super impressed that my HIPAA Privacy was respected. The EVS workers and nurses were respectful of my privacy and very helpful with whatever I asked of them. Great staff!
