feedback about Geisinger - Bloomsburg Hospital
My wife and I have delivered our two girls at this Hospital. Both times the experience was great. the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel calm and comfortable while we were there. The hospital has such a relaxed feeling to it. The midwife that delivered both of our children was so calm and collected and help us with any anxiety we felt even when we could tell that there were issues. Both of our children are healthy and happy and it's due to the great experience that the staff has in this Hospital. The hospital room we stayed in, in August 2018, was huge and comfortable. The room reminded us of a hotel because it was so nice and large. The cafeteria had good food and the room service my wife got provided good food, had a nice selection and it was delivered in a short period of time.
Unprofessional staff. They were bothered by all the questions I had. They should be working to help us, but they would all rather gather round and talk about their personal lives instead of helping.
The ER is completely unorganized and FILTHY! The bathrooms are absolutely deplorable. Very unprofessional staff. I don’t need to hear 4 nurses talking about their personal lives right outside a patient’s room. Also, if someone had a compromised immune system, why would you put them in a room with someone who is vomiting and has a fever?! Especially when I counted 4 other private rooms available! Just ridiculous. Drive the extra 10 min to Danville Geisinger if you need the ER.
The nurses we're good. But they only gave me enough narcotic pain pills to last me 2 1/4 days. And they refused to give me enough until my test results come back. I live in Lock Haven, and I don't have a vehicle. They said I would have to go down there for a prescription. Ha, how about that Nurse Jodie bring it to me, or even give me a prescription for lidocaine, and I would give her $.06 for my prescription for the co-pay. They faxed the first one to my pharmacy, why cannot they fax me another. I have all ready taken 350 aspirins this month for my pain, which I have had in my rectum for 3 yrs. 2 1/2 months.
I must say this hospital has been wonderful! After being admitted on an unrelated bout with pneumonia they told me I was pregnant, the care I received during that stay was so great that I would not go to any other facility for my prenatal care and as of tomorrow my birth! A good birth experience really does start with your medical team and I am so confident in the entire team at Geisinger in bloomsburg!
