The receptionist in the front (African America with a rooster like hair do) was very rude. She had an attitude like someone owed her something. I’m requesting a new receptionist for the hospital of my city (Oxford, n.c.). This is a place where people need help, not attitude! Other than that, the nurses are amazing. Thank you.

I recently went to Granville Hospital for a broken arm due to a lawn mower accident. It was so bad I ended up having surgery. The hospital staff was phenomenal! As soon as I rang for a nurse, one was coming in the room. They were kind and attentive. There was no wait and I was taken in immediately. Much better than the larger hospitals in the Raleigh Durham area. 100% recommend!

The four star is for the Labor & Delivery part of the hospital. Recently just had a baby on June 4th. Had a wonderful experience. Two specific nurses that I enjoyed taking care of me were Ashley & Kimberly. They were friendly & always made sure I was okay & had what I needed. Talked with me and never made me feel uncomfortable. Took very good care of my daughter as well. They actually worked hard at they're job. I will miss them. The only reason why I didn't give a 5 star was because one of the nurses acted as if she didn't wanna be there. Didn't check on me as often as the other nurses did. She also lied about them not taking my baby for a couple hours so I could get some rest. The next morning the other nurse told me they did do that. My thing is if she didn't wanna do it she should have just said that. She also had a smart mouth. She wasn't entirely bad, but just some things I didn't like. Other than that all of my nurses were sweet & all of my doctors as well. Took time to take care of me & always smiled. I love my OBGYN doctor. Doctor Hornbuckle. Also I loved the anesthesia doctor. Was very pleased for the most part.

My husband had to stop in for a pre employment drug test and was told he did not need an appointment. We arrived, filled out the paperwork and waited over an hour just to be called back for a urine specimen! When he checked back in with the front desk, he was told there were 3 drug tests in front of him. I'm not sure why it would take over an hour for 3 different people to give urine samples! The waiting area wasn't busy at all. Perhaps they need a better system in place, as people generally don't have all day to wait to give a urine specimen.
