My ER visit of 3/6/19 was due to a call I received from my doctor's office stating I needed a blood transfusion stat because of low blood count. My daughter took me there and from the time we entered we were treated in a timely fashion by staff members. After being registered I was taken in within 30 minutes or less. My stay was from 11am to 11pm. The entire time I was treated with respect by everyone. The Drs the lab techs the xray techs etc. Jennifer M. my nurse was awesome attentive caring and informative not only to me but to my family as well. She never stopped the whole shift continuously working not only with me but for other patients as well and not once did she show any symptoms of fatigue. Unbelievable! My 8 year old granddaughter was there and had a taste of the medical field and learned quite a bit that day. My son in law who is a firefighter paramedic for Pasadena knew questions to ask and received answers for all of them. Thanks to each and everyone we met that day. God Bless. Lelia Louise Newhart and family
As a registered nurse, I wouldn't take a stray animal found on the road to Hemet hospital. The nurses and doctors in the E.R. don't care to act on stroke symptoms or give medication for atrial fib of heart rate of 180 ...my mother was there with stroke symptoms I'm talking obvious stroke symtoms while I was there.
She was there for 3 hours and they did nothing but start an IV and blood tests when my parents finally decided to wake me to come to the ED because she was not being treated because the doctor never came to examine her in those 3 hours. When I arrived I introduced myself as her daughter, a registered nurse, and asked what was my mom's diagnosis and treatment the RN started stuttering and said my mom was in atrial fib, I asked if she given anything to control it he said no that the doctor had not seen her yet and the blood tests were not resulted yet ...any way long story short took her out A.M.A took her to Kaiser as soon as we arrived I explained above the above they called a "code stroke" they gave her an EKG, meds, IV, cat scan, blood tests with results within 45 minutes. I gave 1 star only because it is not possible to give a minus 5 star . I had heard horror stories from the community and did not believe them. Now I believe.
My 89 year old mother fell at home. I took her in to get checked out. She received a few stitches to her head. They never cleaned her head after putting in the stitches. She lift with dry blood all over her head but the worse part was they discharged her with her IV still in her arm. My poor mother had dementia and was already so confused. When I brought her home I had to remove it. (I have no medical training!).
I did file a complaint and did get a call back and an apology but just hearing all these negative comments sounds like this hospital is still a mess.
GO TO LOMA LINDA OR AT LEAST MOVAL!
REALLY is a bad hospital. It would be better if staffed with more competent, considerate doctors and nurses.
My 89 yo grandmother's urine test got mixed up with a drug addict's, and they had the nerve to not only question her, but my mother as her caretaker. They never admitted the mistake, then when called on it, said they wouldn't tell her the results of her ACTUAL TEST. The lady's system for labeling the urine tests?--- sticking them to her arm in testing order! Gee, what could go wrong? Especially with unsupervised bathrooms!
Then, my sister once came in because she blacked out so badly that her body convulsed. Instead of telling her it wasn't a seizure, which we thought had happened, they didn't even want to test her for safe measure, check blood levels or ANYTHING. They made her feel so stupid that she walked out. Oh, they also said it was "probably because you smoke weed". That was their expert opinion. She ended up going to the clinic where they said she had low blood sugar from her hypoglycemia.
I went last night because of excessive blood loss due to a molar/wisdom extraction. The doctor , Tina, was very knowledgeable and nice. She hooked me up with 2 litres of fluid intravenously cuz I felt like I was dying. I guess I was just dehydrated from the blood loss. This hospital needs more doctors like Tina!
