I came in with shortness of breath and difficulty breathing. I had an o2 reading of 92 before coming to the hospital. After the typical 7 hours in the waiting room, I was being discharged with no treatment. When I asked to speak with the doctor, as is a part of my patient rights at hemet valley, I was treated with hostility by the discharge nurse. I patiently endured a verbal outburst and being called a few choice names until my doctor was called 45 minutes later. As I was leaving, the discharge nurse made the extra effort to send a few more insults my way. Throughout all of this I never responded in like manner. The issue was resolved, but had I been less gentle and patient, I'm convinced that it would not have. As all others I have heard say I will echo the same, "Never go to Hemet Valley unless you will die before reaching somewhere else."

My mother spent 16 days in ICU at Hemet Valley. Though some of the nurses were a little hesitant to trust that I knew what I was talking about, medically, once they understood that I understood completely what was happening, they were open with me. The care my mother received there was fantastic. Doctors were helpful in anticipating my questions once they knew that I know something about medicine. I can't speak for the rest of the hospital, but I can say that the ICU staff is helpful, professional, and care deeply about their patients. I had heard horror stories about the hospital, which may be true, but as far as the ICU goes, those guys and gals are top notch.

I received great care. Everyone from the emergency room admitting personnel, nurses, techs, and physicians through the floor personnel were attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The only negative was a long wait for an echo cardiogram.

This emergency room sucks!! My mom came in by ambulance because her foot twisted and she fell and hit her head on the stove! When she got here they put her on a chair and only wanted to do an x-ray of her foot!! They didn't even want to check on her head! She is a 73 year old lady fighting cancer and they didn't even want to check her head! We have been here for 5+ house and still no test results! I HATE THIS HOSPITAL!! THEY ARE SOO RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE!! THE PATIENT IS NOT THEIR FIRST PRIORITY!!
