Edit: they diagnosed me with a bladder infection and they failed to go through with prescribing my any antibiotics, its now spread to my kidneys and i’m losing a pint of blood daily, i also never added that they didnt put the correct address for me on file, and they took a cloth beanie hat from me forcibly(one i got from a concert, the kind that are only sold on tour and not online, then they lost it and refused to look for it. They separated me from my mother, and when I was crying(not screaming, sitting in one place, just crying) they came in and threatened to sedate me(i’m deathly afraid of needles too) because they “cant have me making so much noise up and down this hospital” i’m autistic, how am I really supposed to take that without panicking, especially without my mother there. After they scared me into submission they made me wait 5 hours there, still keeping my mother away from me despite me not being a threat to anyone, i was just there for suicidal ideation(which is ironic because i was not even suicidal) they sent me to a psychiatric hospital in SHREVEPORT. All the way across the state, which is obviously an issue. I have never felt like my life was threatened, i have never felt deprived of my rights as a human being, until i was in this hospital. Please take your services to North oaks or Lollykemp.

I recently was taken to this hospital. The service was horrible. We were rear ended and the doctor refused to do X-rays. He only removed the neck brace from my son's neck. He did not perform any type of test. This hospital should be closed. The statement he gave on as to why he refused to treat my children was shocking. He said the X-ray would make my sons' sterile. We were hit by a car going 65+ mph. This doctor was a complete joke.

***DO NOT GO*** My son was having pain in his chest and a hard time breathing, he was wheezing and it could be heard in his chest when I put my much less then perfect hearing ear to his chest. "Hood" happened to be the closest ER, we went there and it took forever to be triaged, when we were triaged the nurse said he needed a breathing treatment. We get to a room and wait 30 mins to be seen, the Dr listened to his chest with his stethoscope and says he needs a chest x-ray, we wait 45 mins for x-ray, then after another hour for Dr to come in and tell us nothing is wrong, the scared look on my son's face and the panic in his eyes when he heard this was terrible for me to watch, the Dr only offered Tylenol and walked right out wouldn't even answer my questions, when I politely asked the registration nurse who came into the room if she could send the Dr back in she snapped at me. After this I took my son from this 2bit so called professional medical center and drove to North oaks ER where they triaged and had him in a room in 10 minutes, Dr came in very quickly listened to his chest and ordered the breathing treatment stat, we were told we were very lucky to make it in when we did, if it was allowed to continue he would have had a closed airway and if you can't get any air you die.. Hood memorial hospital thank you for your failure to uphold proper medical standards and I will be contacting the governing bodies of medicine and inform them with documentation on your practice's.

If they need a nurse they intercom ALL the rooms & you will be awakened. Train tracks 2 blocks away and you will be awakened by trains at night. Loud baseball field next door. Noisy when trash taken out. Loud and boisterous staff day and night e.g. time to get up!!! Rude controlling P.T. staff and some nurses. No shower in rooms. Tiny shower down the hall. Bed alarms in other rooms go off all night long!!! Toilets are too low so add an extension and feel the water splash up your butt. No temperature control in rooms!! Old antiquated either too hot or too cold. Food is gross. Mop in the bathroom, don't rinse and use same mop for the rest of your room. Hardly any outlets in room. Can't use walker in small rooms in bathroom. Problems getting pain pills to patients in appropriate time. Need I say more? Oh, some staff are disrespectful.
